Laureates selection process

A unique selection process

The Archery Foundation has created a unique selection process to identify the Laureates it will then be supporting over a long-term period.

A four-step process

Each year, an initial phase of identification of potential candidates for the Foundation's Jury is carried out by the Archery's teams in cooperation with school principals and pedagogical teams.

01

This work begins in the first few weeks of the ninth grade school year and ends with the results of the first term. Once the students have been identified, they are called to meet the Foundation’s Program Manager.

This first phase aims to get to know the future candidate better, and to understand their ambitions and motivations for joining the Foundation’s support program.

02

Then, a meeting with the parents or legal guardian is organized to ensure that they support the candidate’s approach and will accept the support program provided by the Foundation.

Another challenge of this preparatory phase is to confirm that the proposed accompaniment will be useful to the candidate, and that they are supported in their efforts by their parents or legal guardian.

03

Confirmed candidates are then presented to a City Jury, which includes the Foundation’s General Delegate as well as a representative from the City and another from the Rectorate.

For the young people selected at the end of this City Jury, a second phase begins, in which they will meet for group activities and workshops to prepare for the Archery Foundation Jury.

04

The interview with the jury takes place in yearly in June, in Paris and lasts about 15 minutes.

This is the last step of the selection process, at the outcome of which about ten laureates will begin the program at the beginning of the next school year.
